From Lohajung, trekkers traverse through dense oak and rhododendron forests, quaint villages, and snow-covered paths, reaching the tranquil Bekaltal Lake. The journey continues to the Brahmatal base camp, where the landscape opens up to expansive meadows and panoramic vistas of towering peaks like Mt. Trishul and Mt. Nanda Ghunti. The highlight of the Brahmatal Trek is the ascent to the Brahmatal summit, which offers a 360-degree view of the majestic Himalayan range. The pristine Brahmatal Lake, with its crystal-clear waters, is a sight to behold, especially when it reflects the surrounding snow-covered peaks. The Journey
Day 1 The Journey Begins
The journey begins with a departure from Pune Railway Station to Mumbai, setting the stage for an exciting adventure. This initial leg provides an opportunity to relax and enjoy the scenic views as you make your way towards Mumbai, where you will catch the train to Haridwar.
Day 2 Train to Haridwar
Upon arriving in Mumbai, you board a train bound for Haridwar. This journey takes you across diverse landscapes, offering glimpses of rural and urban India. It’s a chance to unwind and prepare for the trek ahead while enjoying the rhythmic motion of the train.
Day 3 Stay in Haridwar
Reaching Haridwar, you have the day to explore this spiritual city, renowned for its ghats and temples. The evening can be spent at Har Ki Pauri, witnessing the Ganga Aarti, a mesmerizing ceremony that leaves a lasting impression. An overnight stay in Haridwar ensures you are well-rested for the upcoming drive.
Day 4 Haridwar to Lohajung
Embark on a 12-hour drive from Haridwar to Lohajung, a journey through the breathtaking landscapes of Uttarakhand. You’ll pass through scenic hill stations like Bheemtal, Almora, and Kausani, and witness the transition from the calm Kosi River to the gushing Pindar River. As you approach Lohajung, the sight of the Nanda Ghunti peak is awe-inspiring. Arrive at the Lohajung guest house by evening, enjoying the serene dusk with a cup of warm tea.
Day 5 Lohajung to Bekaltal
The first day of trekking involves a 5-hour trek from Lohajung to Bekaltal. The trail leads through dense forests, quaint villages, and snow-covered paths, offering spectacular views of the confluence of the Kali and Pindari rivers. The trek is marked by picturesque spots like the Bekaltal Lake, where you camp near the Khopdaliya Lake, surrounded by an oak forest.
Day 6 Bekaltal to Brahmatal Base Camp
Continue trekking through oak and rhododendron forests, ascending steep slopes to reach the snow-covered meadows of Telandi. At 11,500 feet, you descend to Brahmatal, where a small temple with flying yellow flags marks the proximity of Brahmatal Lake. The campsite, 500 meters from the lake, offers breathtaking views of Trishul, Nanda Ghunti, and other majestic peaks.
Day 7 Brahmatal Base Camp to Brahmatal Summit and Return
Start early for an uphill climb to Brahmatal Lake, followed by a challenging ascent to the summit. The pristine lake and panoramic views of Mt. Trishul and Mt. Nanda Ghunti from the top make the effort worthwhile. After soaking in the breathtaking scenery, descend back to the base camp, capturing the vast Himalayan range in your memories.
Day 8 Brahmatal Base Camp to Lohajung
Descend back to Lohajung, reminiscing about the beautiful trek and the memories made. The day offers a reflective journey through the scenic trails, culminating in an overnight stay at a guest house in Lohajung.
Day 9 Lohajung to Rishikesh
An 8-9 hour drive from Lohajung to Rishikesh allows you to relax and enjoy the scenic vistas. The drive is a refreshing change after days of trekking, with beautiful landscapes passing by and memories of the trek flooding back.
Day 10 Adventure in Rishikesh
Spend the day in Rishikesh, engaging in adventure activities like the famous white water rafting on the Ganges. Visit Triveni Ghat in the evening for the 'Maha Aarti,' a spiritual experience that highlights the historical and mythological significance of the ghat. Explore the offerings to the river and the serene atmosphere.
Day 11 Rishikesh to Delhi
Travel from Rishikesh to Delhi, marking the beginning of your return journey. The drive is a chance to relax and reminisce about the trek and adventures in Rishikesh. Upon reaching Delhi, board the train back to Pune/Mumbai.
Day 12 Arrival in Pune/Mumbai
Arrive back in Pune/Mumbai, concluding the journey with cherished memories of the trek and the experiences. The diverse landscapes, thrilling adventures, and spiritual encounters make this an unforgettable trip, leaving you with a sense of accomplishment and rejuvenation.
Refund Policy
We understand that plans can change, and sometimes it becomes necessary to cancel a trek. Below is our refund policy outlining the refundable amounts based on the cancellation period:
- Initial Payment: The initial payment of Rs.1500 is non-refundable and will not be eligible for any refund.
- Cancellation within 7 Days: If the trek is canceled within 7 days prior to the scheduled trek start date, a refund of 50% of the total amount paid, will be issued.
- Cancellation within 3 Days: If the trek is canceled within 3 days prior to the scheduled trek start date, a refund of 25% of the total amount paid, will be issued.
- Cancellation 1 Day Prior: No refund will be provided for cancellations made 1 day prior to the scheduled trek start date. The total amount paid, excluding the non-refundable initial payment, will be non-refundable.
- Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used during the booking process.
- Refunds will be processed within 4 business days from the date of cancellation request.
- Any applicable bank or transaction fees incurred during the refund process will be deducted from the refundable amount.
